Our way of glorifying God and enjoying His grace is to meet together regularly for the sole purpose of edifying His people and overseeing their spiritual growth. To accomplish this goal, we have established the ministry of discipleship, which involves the experience of loving one another as Christ loves us, and actively expressing that love in a fellowship that fosters growth in Christian character, knowledge of and obedience to God’s Word, wisdom, humility, and holiness in the lives of believers. For this experience to be truly edifying, it requires interactive accountability among believers.

To facilitate this interaction, we have established the ministry of discipleship with a variety of opportunities and ever-changing action plans for our members to meet in small groups for biblical and spiritual support. Often, the most effective ministry takes place in these smaller, more intimate settings where trusting relationships develop between people who know and care about one another. Our goal is that these small group meetings, representative of Promogos Ministries, will ultimately produce a place where each member feels concerned about the spiritual progress of the other.

This discipleship ministry also involves the edification of all members of the church through the ministry of God’s Word. We commit ourselves to submitting to the authority of the Scriptures and believing in their sufficiency to establish our Christian ethics and way of life.

We therefore preach and teach the Bible in a variety of settings, humbly relying on the power of the Holy Spirit to empower the Word and transform the lives of individual believers. In turn, these individual believers will go on to do the work of ministry in the lives of others. For it is the divine privilege of each member to be directly involved in the ministry of the local church. The role of our leaders (pastors, deacons, teachers) in this process is to equip members for this privilege.
