NHFD - ASL CLASS
This ministry offers sign language classes to familiarize hearing people with the daily lives of deaf people. This helps them communicate with the deaf and hard of hearing community and raise awareness among those at risk of hearing loss.
Classes cost $100 per level for a duration of 5 weeks. There are 5 ASL levels in total. Depending on your level of sign language proficiency, registration is required to participate in a specific class (level). Beginners who are not yet proficient in sign language can register for all 5 levels (Package) and receive a 10% discount on the course price ($450.00). A certificate of completion will be awarded for each level. A graduation ceremony will be held for those who have completed all 5 levels to celebrate their achievement.
After paying for a specific level or all 5 levels, a full refund will be issued in the event of a no-show. If you choose to pay by cash or check, you must present yourself to the office and pay no later than 48 hours before the start of the first day of class.
At least five students must be registered, otherwise the course will be postponed. You will receive an email or a call before the start of the course.
This program is not designed to certify individuals wishing to become sign language interpreters.
LEVEL 1: BASIC ASL

This course is ideal for students who have completed Level 1 (Basic ASL) and want to further their ASL skills! Learn at your own pace with a progressive and engaging approach.
