USHERING MINISTRY
At Promogos Ministries, our ushers are ministers of love, friendship, hospitality and care in the church. They are considered Levites and therefore guardians of God’s sanctuary. You will always see them standing at the door and in the hallways of the church, welcoming, greeting, serving people and sometimes handing out brochures. They are the representatives of Promogos Ministries to visitors, guests and the community in which we minister. Welcoming is a wonderful opportunity for our ushers to serve members, guest and visitors by making them feel appreciated and loved. A kind smile and a gracious greeting is the very warm welcome they offer to our visitors by treating each one with kindness and tenderness. Through this compassionate attitude, they help set the mood for the worship service.
The ministry of ushers is one of the most crucial ministries in our church because it is the most exposed and visible ministry during our services. Their work of welcoming and introducing people to the church is a great way to get to know our newcomers and to value our members by helping and serving them regularly. When people come to church, they are sometimes distressed, broken-hearted, or discouraged. They come with the hope of an uplifting experience, of spiritual comfort and support, of fellowship and encouragement. Our ushers will do their part to the extent possible to make this a reality for them. The purpose of the ministry is also to assist the pastoral staff, the praise team, maintain order and respect, and set a good example.
