HOSPITALITY MINISTRY
Our Hospitality Team is a group of dedicated and compassionate individuals charged with creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for visitors and members, primarily by actively demonstrating Christian kindness and hospitality, welcoming them warmly, showing them love and respect, caring for them, providing them with refreshments, introducing them to the culture of the Church, providing information about the leadership of the Church, following up with visitors after their visit, and making them feel comfortable and valued when attending our services and events.
Their Devotion as a Team
Develop a deeper understanding of Christian hospitality, ministerial ethics, spiritual discipleship, effective communication skills, and a life of service in order to be successful and consistent in their work within Promogos Ministries. They meet twice a week, but sometimes as often as their responsibilities require. They spend time together, caring for one another. They nourish themselves spiritually through Bible study and prayer so that they can truly love and care for others.
PRIMARY ROLE
Welcoming Visitors and Guests Warmly: This is the culmination of a good impression for most visitors and guests. At Promogos Ministries, friendly greetings and introductions are crucial.
Interpretation Services: Provide translation and interpretation services to visitors, guests or members of the Church whose first language is not Creole.
Answering Questions and Providing Information: Help visitors get oriented, meet our leaders, understand the structure of our church ministries, learn about our vision and mission, and provide details about upcoming events.
Offering Refreshments: Provide coffee, tea, snacks, or other refreshments to welcome people, create and foster fellowship.
Making Necessary Arrangements: Identify and appropriately address the needs of those who may need special or additional assistance, such as accessibility options.
Building a Community of Believers: Interact with new and familiar faces to create and establish a sense of belonging within the Church community.
Reflecting Christian Values: Welcome strangers without discrimination and favoritism with kindness, love and compassion, in accordance with biblical teachings and in the same way Jesus treated those around him.
Staying Connected with New Visitors: By providing a warm welcome, positive impression, special attention, and recognition of their presence, our hospitality team can lead new visitors to become regular members of the Church.
Strengthening relationships among existing members: Create activities and build relationships between ministries that foster a sense of belonging and fellowship among Church members.
Assuring Urgent Transport Service Taking into account that unforeseen circumstances can sometimes arise, the Ministry of Hospitality has an emergency plan in case one of our members needs emergency transportation. (For example: a car breakdown, taking an elderly person to the hospital).
The Hospitality Ministry team carries out other tasks and social activities in direct collaboration with the Outreach Ministry team. Click here for more information on these social activities.
